The Perfect Friday Night

Okay, I left you hanging with my last post, didn't I? Lucky for you, nobody reads this blog and so nobody lost any sleep over it. The day before my class was to resume in-person learning, a new COVID case was diagnosed in the AM class. As it turned out, public health and the school board decided they didn't care and we were allowed out of isolation and returned to class. Thanks guys. Thankfully all has been good since then. Here's a recap of what has happened since my last blog post: I returned to work I got my vaccine I reacted poorly to the vaccine and spent two days in bed I've struggled to keep up with house work and am currently living in squalor (okay, not quite) (also, not much different than before my last blog post/isolation 😂) My in-laws brought over their old outdoor table and chairs. The Quarantine Diaries // Day 3

Day 3: feels a lot like day 2 did, what with me being stuck on this same bed, looking at these same walls. That's okay though! I got to connect with the students I work with, got the piles of paper littered through by bedroom filed, kept up with my Netflix binge watching, and sent off my income tax information to the accountant! All in all, a success. Tomorrow will be a little bit more work, a little bit more bedroom tidying, and perhaps tackling some of the mess in my closet. I'm trying to find a balance between getting in some really good R&R and diving into some of the jobs and organization that I put off and now have time for.

My poor girls are still bothered by me being trapped in my room. We've been texting often and having distanced doorway chit chats. It's a shame the weather isn't cooperating, or they could head outside to keep busy.

This mug has never seemed more appropriate than it was today...
